My maladaptive pancreas kindly requests your support :o)

I have decided to do the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in Santa Monica (Sunday, October 22) after taking a few years off. In honor of my myspace group, I have named my team "groups.myspace.com/diabetes".

It would be amazing to get some of you guys who are a bit closer to be walkers. In fact, if you're willing to come quite a ways, I may have some crashing space at my house and you can make a Southern California weekend of it :o)

I'm attempting to raise at least $1000 for diabetes research, so chip in if you can. Every little bit helps (plus, its tax deductible :o) The national goal is $86 million, so lets try to put a little dent in that. I know we can.

You can join or make donations here

I'll keep you guys posted on my progress. Thanks in advance for all of your support. I know I can do it with your help.

Quite honestly, this group really does help me immensely, especially (but not solely) when it comes to diabetes. For something that I know can be such a personal struggle, they have really built a community that so many people benefit from. I get messages fairly often these days from new members praising me for starting the group. I am such a small part of what makes this group great. I am honored to be a part of it. Keep up the good work.

-Matt :o)

P.S. They hold these walks all over the country, so feel free to start your own teams at your local walks. Then let everyone know about it :o)
